Former youth cross rider Mack Bouwense is the hero on social media
Photos of meal deliverer Mack Bouwense, who remains silent for two minutes next to his scooter during Remembrance Day, are widely shared on social media. The Gouwenaar has received dozens of responses. “People think I'm a hero.”
For 18-year-old Mack, it was his first shift as a delivery person for Thuisbezorgd.nl during Remembrance Day. “I was sent to deliver an order. On the way I saw that it was almost 20.00 p.m.,” says the teenager. He decided to stop his delivery scooter on a bridge over the water in the center of Gouda and get off. At exactly 20.00 p.m. he was silent for two minutes.
