Jago Geerts chooses Specialized & S-Bikes!
Just like Chad Reed and Jeffrey Herlings, Jago Geerts also chooses Specialized. Mountain biking plays an important role in the training of the Yamaha factory rider, which is why Jago is of course super enthusiastic about this new collaboration.
After Jago received his new cannon, he said: “Just got back from S-Bikes, the Specialized Concept Store in Geraardsbergen, where I picked up my Specialized Epic Hardtail in unique Yamaha colors. The paintwork of Color Monkey has become really fat! If “looks” make me drive faster, then this unique specimen will push my physical limits! Thank you to Sven, Kurt and the S-bike team.”
Geerts' new training buddy is a lot more democratically priced than the S Works top models but the Epic hardtail has a lot to offer! This Specialized also received the same lightweight carbon frame from the Epic Hardtail Pro. This is Specialized's lightest production frame ever (790 grams for the painted Fact 12M frame in size medium!) and without a doubt one of the best hardtail mountain bike frames on the market. All non-S-Works versions use it Specialized FACT 11M frames.
In addition, this bicycle is equipped with a RockShox Judy Gold 29 front fork (10 cm travel) with Motion Control “lock-out” lever. Specialized opted for the groupset Sram SX Eagle. Thanks to a wide gear range and 29-inch Specialized Stout wheels, this comfortable and agile MTB is ready for the toughest climbs. A full-suspension mountain bike may offer more bling, but for most Flemish and Dutch circuits the Epic is a fantastic choice.
