Coach Dennis Verbruggen about Lotte Van Drunen
Former youth world champion Dennis Verbruggen has been focusing on coaching young riders for some time now. In addition to the British Adam Collings, the Grobbendon native has been working with the talented Lotte Van Drunen for several years. At the age of 12, the Sliedrecht woman is considered one of the fastest girls in the world in her age category.
In 2019, Van Drunen won a bronze medal in the 65cc World Championship and she has already collected three Dutch titles. Whether outdoors or indoors, the fast KTM rider always throws herself into battle with dedication. This year she started a new chapter on the 85cc.
Dennis Verbruggen said the following about her: “What the future will look like for her will tell itself. In any case, Lotte has an incredible drive to achieve her personal goals. She is very talented and has a great personality. Hopefully she will be spared any injuries. Who knows, she might grow into a real pioneer and an ambassador for motocross!”
Even outside the Low Countries, they now know the qualities of the fast girl on that pink #401 motorcycle. Because who will be in the June edition of the American Racer Exactly Lotte van Drunen. With strongholds Nancy van de Ven, Shana van der Vlist and 17-year-old Lynn Valk, it could well be that the Netherlands will dominate the WMX in the coming years!
