Update from the VLM board
After the announcement of the cancellation, a consequence of the measures taken by the government to slow down the Coronavirus, there was silence from VLM/JMS for a while. However, Chairman Eddy Houtmeyers distributed an open letter today.
“Knowing that we are still not ready for motocross at the moment, we are already prepared for what could happen. Indeed, let us assume that we are not yet ready to organize in the month of May. But we have already created certain scenarios together with our people from VLM/JMS (board and organizers) in order to be able to get started if the possibility is there.”
What does this mean ?
“We have already started looking with the organizers to see what is possible to shift the dates and thus extend the season and the championships. Different dates have also been considered, because when it can start again is a question mark. So we don't know when this will be."
“But you can be sure that when the go-ahead is given, we will be ready. Interviewing the people of our organizations brings me great cooperation from them. We keep the necessary communication open with all parties involved, including municipal authorities, insurance brokers, land owners, etc..”
But above all: together we stand strong and let us support each other by following the measures and thereby making our sport/hobby possible again.
Hang in there, motocross enthusiasts!
Your chairman,
Eddy Houtmeyers
