Henry Jacobi successfully operated on his back
MXGP rookie Henry Jacobi (23) suffered damage to an intervertebral vertebra in his back during a hard landing in Matterley Basin. This injury affected him so much that he had to ride in Valkenswaard in pain and had no strength in his left leg. To make the best possible use of the 'corona break', the former youth world champion decided to go under the knife last week.
Jacobi himself indicated on his own YouTube channel that it was a minor routine procedure. The operation itself went according to plan. In all likelihood, Henry will be fully fit again in 2 weeks to resume physical training.
Jacobi himself talked about his injury and the procedure that took place in the Beta clinic in Bonn in the vlog below:
