Brian Moreau: “Feelings return!”
18-year-old Brian Moreau's world stood still on Saturday, February 15. TDuring the Tampa Supercross, his debut for Troy Lee Designs Red Bull KTM, he crashed and broke the C7 vertebra. After his operation in the US, he returned to France together with Marvin Musquin's wife Mathilde. Brian is now continuing to work on his recovery in his own environment.
To what extent the rehabilitation will allow a full recovery remains to be seen. Still, Moreau indicated that things are moving in the right direction. He told fans on Instagram that “I initially lost all feeling in my limbs. Now I have regained feeling almost all over my body. It's not like before, but I can say with certainty that I feel my legs a little more and I'm very happy with that!”
Moreau became European 2017cc champion in 125 and had given up school for a while to focus everything on his sporting career. Together with Brandon Hartranft, Derek Drake and Pierce Brown, Brian was part of a completely new line-up for the American factory KTM team in the 250cc.
As is often the case in these types of situations, the Road2Recovery foundation stepped into the breach to help. More information about their work for Brian you can find here.
