Yet another surgical procedure on the feet of Stefan Everts!
Last weekend Everts was in Matterely Basin to support son Liam and help him win his first victory in the EMX125. But the trip to the South of England was painful. Everts went to Herentals for a second opinion before the GP because the pain is unbearable at times. It was at the end of 2018 that he suffered a malaria attack.
The pain in the right foot is caused by the loss of the toes, which now puts more pressure on the bone. That bone will now be corrected on Thursday to shift the pressure to the other parts of the foot. Work will also be done on the left foot to reduce the pain. However, he will still be present in Valkenswaard this weekend. Liam Everts will participate in the EMX250 race for the first time with a view to 2021.
