ONK Enduro Enter: Scratch Dolfing, Vanoevelen best Belgian!
The first round of the ONK Enduro took place in wet, sandy conditions. The so-called Reggerit was therefore a perfect fit for the home riders! Lucas Dolfing sent his TM to the scratch at the Inters, ahead of Ceriel Klein Kromhof (Honda) and Matthew Vanoevelen (Husqvarna). After successes in the BEX, Dietger Damiaens now also made a strong enduro debut. Dietger finished 6th in the E2.
The Belgian Championship Inters on home soil starts on March 22, but the Belgians could at least already get started in the Netherlands. After all, this match in Enter also counted towards the Belgian championship. And the fact that the season opener went smoothly all in all could be entirely attributed to the Enterse Motor Club. Nice work to set up nice tests in all that rain.
As usual, this confrontation of the Low Countries provided quite the spectacle. In the initial phase Klein Kromhof was the fastest man, but Lucas Dolfing turned out to have better credentials in the swampy conditions! Vanoevelen and Antoine Magain (winner in E1) were also doing well, although Dolfin eventually came out on top.
Vanoevelen finished third in the E2, just ahead of veteran Hans Vogels and teammate Erik Willems. In his Husky debut, Mathias Van Hoof finished 9th in the E2. A great start for the pilot from Herentals who, given the circumstances, did perfectly what he came for. Thanks to the victory of Thierry Pittens (Husqvarna) in E3, the Dutch riders also achieved the most individual victories. Belgian Inters champion Maxime Warenghien finished third on the E3 podium.
In the over-40s there was no way to beat the indomitable Alex Van Den Broek, ex-motocross rider Casper Ovaa took the podium there. Remarkable fact: the three first riders in the scratch were all shod on Dunlop Geomax Enduro EN91 rubber.
