Ken Roczen joins Eli Tomac again!
The title battle in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship is not over yet. Ken Roczen won the ninth race of this championship in Atlante. The 25-year-old German managed to win third of the season ahead of Justin Barcia and Cooper Webb! ! The leader in the standings, Eli Tomac, crosses the finish line in fourth and he sees Roczen coming alongside in the standings. Martin Davalos' fifth place was striking!
It looks like Vince Friese will take the Holeshot Award but Roczen slips through and comes out of the first corner as the leader. Davalos follows the Honda riders but he quickly manages to take second place from Friese. Tomac gets off to a very bad start, but he quickly manages to work his way up to seventh place. He then has to duel with Jason Anderson, Justin Barcia and Blake Baggett. At the last one, Tomac tries by force and they both fall. The Kawasaki rider has to fight back from 14th place. At the front, Roczen has a firm grip on the lead and he wins ahead of Barcia! The Yamaha rider appears very strong, especially in the last five minutes he manages to strike! After his serious crash last week, Webb finished third ahead of Tomac, who limited the damage reasonably well.
