Tim Gajser takes pole position in Matterley Basin!
The first Grand Prix of the season was immediately disrupted by the dog weather in Great Britain. As you can already read, gusts of wind destroyed a lot of material on the course and rain and snow also ravaged the course. As a result, the competition schedule for today and Saturday was shortened considerably. As a result, no qualifying race was held, but an “Old Skool” time training was held to determine tomorrow's starting places.
In this timed training Tim Gajser crowned himself with the fastest time, ahead of Husqvarna pilot Arminas Jasikonis and Antonio Cairoli. Jeffrey Herlings clocked the best time as a lowlander. His time entitles him to the fourth starting spot. Clément Desalle achieved sixth place, Calvin Vlaanderen tenth, Brian Bogers twelfth, Jeremy Van Horbeek fourteenth and Glenn Coldenhoff eighteenth. Wild Card pilot Brent Van Doninck in turn set a twenty-second fastest time. New team owner Kevin Strijbos will be the thirty-second to join tomorrow.
