Mitchel van Essenburg has broken his thumb
Mitchel van Essenburg had an unfortunate fall during the training camp during the Christmas holidays. The Husqvarna rider continued to suffer and decided to visit the hospital last week. The wrist turned out to be broken and the 19-year-old rider was operated on yesterday. A piece of bone was removed from the hip and placed in the thumb. A pen has been used and Van Essenburg has to go back for a check-up in 10 days. This will be followed by another six weeks of plaster, meaning he won't be able to drive for at least another eight weeks!
