Milko Potisek wins tough Enduropale du Touquet!
From 45th Enduro in the French seaside resort of Le Touquet was tough with the rain and wind that kicked in today. Despite the rough weather, a lot of people had again descended on the beach to watch the final of the Championnat de France sur Sable. Yamaha rider Milko Potisek was able to win the race by starting moderately and moving forward without taking many risks.
The fastest starter was Camille Chapeliere, who led the surprising Greg Smets. Smets was furious and was even able to take the lead just before the end of the second lap. The other Belgians also got off to a good start with Van Horebeek as 3rdde, Axel Van De Sande as 4de, Jeffrey Dewulf as 5de, Kevin Fors as 6de and Steve Ramon as 17de.
On lap three Jeremy Van Horebeek was able to take the lead with Chapeliere in his wake. From the fourth lap, Potisek moved resolutely to the lead position and systematically increased his lead over the pursuers. Northern neighbor Lars van Berkel drove consistent lap times within the top ten. Halfway through the three-hour race, Yentel Martens had broken through on 23th cutting. Milko Potisek had to deal with three skirmishes in the second half of the match, but was able to continue the match without much delay.
He stayed in the lead and was eventually able to win the race ahead of an exhausted Jeremy Van Horebeek and Nathan Watson. Jeffrey Dewulf had to leave the race disappointed due to mechanical problems while he was 6de drove. This is how Lars van Berkel eventually turned 6de for Richard Fura. Axel Van De Sande finished 8thth for newcomer Valentin Guillod and former winner Steve Ramon. A 12de There was room for Yentel Martens and Kevin Fors could go as 18de over the measuring balls.
Nathan Watson thus became the expected winner in the final standings of the French sand championship. Yamaha rider Todd Kellett finishes second ahead of Camille Chapeliere. It is the second consecutive time that RedBull KTM rider Watson has won this competition.
