Max Nagl wins Kuwait International Motocross
The race was somewhat in the shadow of all the others last weekend, but in Kuwait there was an international competition at the Kuwait Motor Town circuit. The biggest name on the entry list was the German Max Nagl and it goes without saying that he won both heats in an overall meager line-up at the starting gate.
Kuwait Motor Town is a project by Kuwait to boost motorsport. The layout is impressive: In addition to a car circuit, there is a motocross track, a 4×4 off-road circuit, a drift track, a karting track, a rallycross circuit and a drag strip. Several competitions have already been held on the motocross circuit - which was designed by Greg Atkins. It has now obtained F.I.M. homologation, which increases suspicion that an MXGP race will be organized by Infront Moto Racing (the new Youthstream) in the foreseeable future.
