Dylan Ferrandis the new leader thanks to the victory!
Dylan Ferrandis is the new leader in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship 250SX West. The Star Racing driver managed to win the fifth race of the season in Oakland. The Frenchman won the final ahead of Austin Forkner and Justin Cooper. As a result, Ferrandis takes over the lead in the standings from his teammate. Forkner is third, ten points behind the leader!
In the final, Alex Martin takes the best start, the Suzuki rider is followed by Cooper, Ferrandis, Forkner and Luke Clout. At the exit of the first corner, Cooper becomes unbalanced, causing him to drop back to sixth place. Forkner manages to pass rival Ferrandis and not much later the Kawasaki rider is the new leader! The Frenchman manages to recover and can increase the pressure after passing Martin. When a straggler appears, Ferrandis does not hesitate and takes the lead despite a collision with Forkner. Cooper manages to fight back to third place, but he has not had the speed we know from him in recent weeks. Martin comes fourth for the Australian Clout.
