The calendar of the Belgian Vintage Motocross Championship!
The vintage dirt bike championship (BOTC) has been around for more than fifteen years and has become a permanent fixture in our country. It has even become one of the leading competitions of its kind in Europe. The number of pilots participating in these competitions continues to increase every year and the level is also on an upward curve. More and more ex-Grand Prix riders are finding their way to the races. In the past, there have been many great names at the starting gate, such as Sven Breugelmans, Werner Dewit, Harry and Stefan Everts, Joël Smets, Graham Noyce and Herbert Schmitz.
The competition consists of five categories: the Pré 73 class, the Pré 78, the Pré 80 125cc, the Twinshocks and the Pré 92 class. These are further divided into age categories. The Belgian Vintage Motocross Championship runs over 14 races this year. Most races are held on Saturdays and are always in collaboration with the VMCF and VLM federations.
The first race is on Saturday April 18 in Tildonk-Haacht. There are also some races held in Wallonia: that of Moresnet on Whitsunday and the race in Warsage. The day before the race in Molenbeersel, our country will organize a competition for the first time in the context of the European Classic Motocross Championship (ECMO). MC De Grensduivels will receive approximately 1 pilots from 200 countries on May 18 for the start of the European Championship Classic Motocross. The always very atmospheric final of the BK classic car cross will take place in the municipality of Reet-Rumst on Saturday, September 26. With our colleagues from MXVintage you've come to the right place for all the news about this competition.
