Rudy Vergriete succeeds himself in Enduropal Vintage
Today 600 old motorcycles were lined up on the beach of Le Touquet for their annual race. It is the start of a weekend of sand eating in the seaside town on the Opal Coast. Just like last year, Honda rider Rudy Vergriete was able to cross the line victoriously. He was able to lead almost the entire race, but still had to maintain a tight pace because Alexandre Morel was constantly on his heels. Vergriete, however, kept his composure and won the race for a second time.
The podium was completely French because Anthony Denis came third. The fastest Belgian was Waaltje Philippe Mauhin in 10th place. The other compatriots who finished at the front were Kevin Gauniaux (15th), Jean-Marc Gaillard (20th) and Didier Kroonen (36th). Bjorn Verdoodt, who opted for a CZ as an outsider since last year, finished nicely in 112th place. He was the deserved winner in the V3 Twinshock category.
