Monster Energy Cup 2020 in Carson, California!
Following the press conference at the 1 Anaheim 2020 Supercross, FELD's Dave Prater announced the big news of the 2020 Monster Energy Cup moving from Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, to California. The 2020 Monster Energy Cup, which has been taking place in Las Vegas since 2012, will now take place on October 10 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.
The new location is in a brand new location for Supercross and we had never heard of it before. It is located just south of Compton, California, just 12 miles east of Los Angeles International Airport and 27 miles west of Anaheim Angel's stadium, which has held more Supercross events than any other stadium.
The Dignity Health Sports Park is a multi-purpose sports stadium, formerly known as the Home Depot Center and Stubhub Center and is located on the campus of California State University Dominguez Hills in Carson, California. The main tenants of the university stadium are the LA Galaxy team of the Major League Soccer and National Football League. The stadium is the largest soccer-specific stadium in the US and the second largest of its kind in Major League Soccer. It can hold 30.000 spectators.
