Florian Miot with “Globe powered by Diga Racing” in EMX125
KTM Diga Junior Racing spin-off “Globe powered by Diga Racing” makes a remarkable entry into the EMX125. The newly established Belgian team signed the talented young Frenchman Florian Miot. 16-year-old Florian is the younger brother of Mathéo Miot.
Despite his strong results last season, the French and Italian 125cc champion was left without a team at the end of 2019. Now that he's back on KTM, “FloFlo” is faster than ever. He dominated the sand race in Berck-sur-Mer in October where he dominated all three heats.
The youngest of the Miot brothers has also made his mark internationally. As a rookie, he immediately took his first EMX125 podium in 2018 and won the Motocross of European Nations with Team France in 2017. A stronger and more experienced “FloFlo” is therefore looking forward to going strong in 2020 with Globe powered by Diga Racing.
Florian Miot:“I am really happy and relieved that we have concluded this agreement with Globe powered by Diga Racing. We already knew the people involved in this project and it is great to be surrounded by professionals in a relaxed atmosphere. I have learned a lot over the past two seasons in the EMX125 and I now want to use that knowledge as best as possible in this new challenge!”
Dirk Saelen: “We are happy to have Florian (Miot) on board as the first driver for Globe by Diga Racing. This new team structure will focus on logistical and technical support for EMX riders. It's great to get to work with a talented and dedicated young rider like Florian. He has been training on the KTM all winter, so we are confident he will adapt easily to his new environment.”
Florian Miot will make his Globe powered by Diga Racing debut on February 23 during the Belgian season opener in Lommel. The EMX125 Championship starts a week later in Matterley Basin, England.
