Cédric Soubeyras is crowned King of Lyon!
As I admitted in the piece about the SX2 class, I had already fallen into hibernation a bit, which is why I noticed a little later that a supercross was being held this weekend not only in Germany, but also in France.
In Lyon on Friday, Thomas Ramette won the final in the SX1 class. The Suzuki pilot held championship leader Cedric Soubeyras and Kawasaki pilot Fabien Izoird on Friday. On Saturday the victory went to Cedric Soubeyras, who in turn held off Nico Aubin and Thomas Ramette.
With a second place and a victory in the finals, the Husqvarna 2B pilot was also crowned “King of Lyon”. In the SX Tour championship standings, his lead is now about 18 points over Nico Aubin, who is nicely positioned second in the championship.
