Justin Brayton the King of Geneva again!
At the Palexpo, Justin Brayton secured the 'King of Geneva' title for the sixth time. The Honda rider managed to win the second evening ahead of Justin Barcia and Martin Davalos. With that, Brayton (3-1) wins the overall ahead of Davalos (1-3) and Barcia (2-2). In the SX2 class, victory on the second night also went to America thanks to Joey Crown.
SX1
Just like on Friday evening, Davalos now takes the best start ahead of Brayton and Barcia, Vince Friese starts fourth ahead of the Italian Angelo Pelegrini. The field seems to be pulled apart until leader Davalos makes a mistake. The Kawasaki rider crashes and sees Brayton and Barcia pass. The Ecuadorian finished third behind the Americans and therefore missed out on the overall! In the early stages of this final over 9 minutes and a lap, Malcolm Stewart gets into trouble, but he manages to recover well. The brother of comes back to a great fourth place ahead of Cedric Soubeyras. 'Soubs' is the leader in the standings, he is 44 points ahead of fellow countryman Fabien Izoird.
SX2
Crown takes the best start in the MX2 final ahead of Calvin Fonvieille and Julien Roussaly. Hsu follows in fourth place and he quickly passes Roussaly. In the first full lap the German manages to take over second place to catch up with the leader. The former 85cc World Champion managed to put pressure on the leader for a long time, but in the last three minutes of this race Crown took distance. The American also wins on Saturday evening and he is the new Prince of Geneva! Hsu comes second ahead of Hakon Fredriksen! The 17-year-old Norwegian manages to leave Fonvieille and Roussaly behind him and with that the Becker Racing driver completes the podium. Fonvieille crosses the finish line in fourth place ahead of Yannis Irsuti. In the title battle the tension increases further because Thomas Do and Irsuti now both have 128 points, Fonvieille follows only one point!
The final of the SX Tour is next weekend in Amneville!
