ISDE Day 6: US finishes job, Sanders wins scratch!
The sixth and final day of the International Six Days of Enduro traditionally focused on the cross finals. Always a real challenge for the true endurist, for the motocross riders an opportunity to make up time in the extreme. However, in the final score everything remains unchanged. For the first time since 2016, the Americans were again on the highest scaffold!
Although the Australians were unable to extend their title, Daniel Sanders (Husqvarna) was the absolute standout individual of this ISDE. Sanders has just under a minute's lead over Spaniard Josep Garcia in the scratch. As a consolation prize, Garcia won the cross test ahead of fast men such as Luke Styke (ex Kemea Yamaha), Ryan Sipes and Daniel Sanders. Roni Kytonen (ex KTM Diga Junior Racing) also left a strong impression.
The Americans had no fewer than 3 riders in the top 4 of the scratch with Taylor Robert (6rd), Kailub Russell (3th) and Ryan Sipes (6th). Australia finished third ahead of Italy in the final standings. The Belgian World Trophy finished 10th and almost equaled the achievement of 2014 when they finished 9th in Argentina. Congratulations guys!
