Ghidinelli Racing and Shot join forces
Ghidinelli Racing, the young and ambitious team led by Morris Ghidinelli, has a new clothing partner: Shot Race Gear. The Italian Yamaha team has already achieved EMX250 podium success in the past two seasons. Ghidinelli Racing is coming up with an extensive and promising team composition for 2020!
It was previously announced that former world champion MX1 David Philippaerts will assist the team as a coach. In recent years, 'DP19' has gained a lot of experience in guiding young talent and now he wants to take the Ghidinelli Racing drivers to a higher level. Both Samuel Bernardini (MXGP) as Morgan Lesiardo (MX2) will complete the European rounds of the Motocross World Championship in addition to a program of top competitions in Italy.
In the fiercely contested EMX250, the team is counting on the experienced Giuseppe Tropepe en Matteo Puccinelli. Last week Morris Ghidinelli added EMX Open rider David Bonini to the line-up. Bonini wants to return to his best level after an injury. Finally, veteran David Philippaerts will also participate in the races in his own country as a driver. Since all drivers also compete in the national Italian championship, Ghidinelli has an absolute top lineup in his own country.
Morris Ghidinelli: “The past few months have been very exciting and productive for Ghidinelli Racing Yamaha. We have put all the pieces together for a strong 2020 and we are super motivated for the new season. It was also a nice bonus for us to be a former EMX250 champion Morgan Lesiardo to add to the team. However, all this would have been impossible without the support of our partners. It's a good feeling that a major brand like Shot Race Gear supports our project. It shows that people appreciate our work and that we are making progress. I am therefore proud that our riders will ride in the coolest clothing next year!”
Ghislain Huot, CEO Shot Race Gear: “The timing to begin this new partnership with Ghidinelli Racing Yamaha comes at an ideal time. We have only recently entered the Italian market with Shot Race Gear, so the fact that we can take on that challenge with one of the strongest Italian teams at our side is of course a huge boost! Morris (Ghidinelli) puts a lot of energy and drive into everything he does, it's great to be part of that. With the combination of driver talent, experience and perseverance of David (Philippaerts), Ghidinelli Racing holds the key to growing to the next level in 2020.”
