Negaan-MX becomes official Husqvarna factory team in MX2!
Husqvarna Motorcycles confirms the signing of a multi-year agreement with Negaan-MX, which will manage and run the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing MX2020 team from 2. Based in Belgium, the team will be Husqvarna's officially supported MX2 team in the FIM Motocross World Championship.
Negaan-MX, owned by Kay Hennekens, has been involved in the Motocross World Championship for many years and will operate from a new workshop in Lommel, Belgium. Former driver Rasmus Jorgensen will oversee the operational, sporting and development aspects of the team as team manager.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing will select three riders in 2020 to compete on FC 250 machines. In the MX2 they are Thomas Kjer Olsen and Jed Beaton. With Kjer Olsen second in the 2 MX2019 World Championship, the team's clear aim is to support the Dane in his pursuit of a first world title. With his impressive speed, Australian Beaton is the man to regularly finish on the podium in 2020. The team in the EMX250 is represented by Kay de Wolf, who finished sixth in the 2019 EMX 125 championship.
Currently in their winter testing program, the team will make their first official competitive steps in the spring games in early 2020.
