Entry List Red Bull Straight Rhythm!
For the sixth time, motocross riders will compete on the Red Bull Straight Rhythm. This Sunday, October 6, a pack of well-known names will compete two by two on a straight line full of whoops, tables, doubles, washboards and other spectacular irregularities. Since last year, only two-strokes have been allowed, which gives the whole thing a nice retro atmosphere.
The rules are simple. Two pilots start side by side and try to be the first to reach the finish line, which is 800 meters away. Under no circumstances may riders cross the white line drawn between them. And as mentioned before, only two-strokes are allowed to participate. That seems to be a disadvantage, which means that many factory riders do not see the opportunity to participate, but on the other hand it shows that two-strokes have never been absent in motocross. And judging by last year's enthusiastic crowd, the decision was a success. Moreover, pre-mix sniffing is still a legal stimulant for the seasoned motorsport enthusiast. Retro is also in trend in motocross!
This year an extra 500cc class has been added to this Straight Rhythm. It is an exhibition race with the big two-strokes between Tyler Bowers and Travis Pastrana. Ronnie Mac and Gared “Stank Dog” Steinke aren't invited, but you can bet they'll show up for some serious dirt bike nonsense. The Red Bull Straight Rhythm will take place in Pomona, California on Sunday, October 6 and can be followed in full on Red Bull TV.
