Adam Sterry on the podium at the Motocross of Nations
On a particularly wet but atmospheric TT Circuit, Adam Sterry showed himself very well during the MonsterEnergy Motocross of Nations. Together with Team England, the 23-year-old managed to finish third at the international end of the season. The Kawasaki rider managed to climb onto the podium in third place with fellow countrymen Shaun Simpson and Nathan Watson during the event won by Team Netherlands.
MXON Axles:
During the Motocross of Nations, a country may enter a team of three riders divided into three classes. These riders then compete against each other in three races over 30 minutes and two laps. Of the six results recorded by the drivers, the best five count towards the final ranking. The country with the fewest points wins the 'Chamberlain Trophy'. Adam competed in the MX2 class, Watson in the MXGP class and Simpson in the Open class. Adam was in action in the first race of the weekend and managed to work his way to the front despite a mediocre start. However, after three laps the Kawasaki rider made a mistake and dropped back to 33rd position. He then drives a great catch-up race, crossing the finish line in 23rd place. An important score because fellow countryman Watson does not reach the finish.
In the second race the start is better and he comes out of the first lap in 17th place. In Leatt's beautiful Team GB clothing, Adam then worked his way to tenth place, but halfway through the race he made a mistake. He loses two places, but he will not relinquish that twelfth place. With a third place, Simpson scores very well and Team England is back in the running for a podium place! During the last race of the weekend, Watson crosses the finish line ninth ahead of Simpson, putting the English third in the rankings behind the Netherlands and Belgium!
Season 2020:
The contract with Roan van de Moosdijk continues for two more seasons. Both Adam and Henry Jacobi have to switch to the MXGP class due to the age limit of 23 years. That is why the F&H Racing Team has recruited the fast Mathys Boisrame. The Frenchman won the European 2018cc Championship in 250 and this year he rode his first full Grand Prix season. The 21-year-old rider from Rennes finished ninth in the final standings and was on the podium during the German Grand Prix. Later this week the F&H Racing Team will announce their third driver for next season!
Review & Thank You:
The season is over and the F&H Racing Team can look back on a great season! Achieving the European 250cc title with Roan van de Moosdijk is of course great and the same can be said of Henry's KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross 250cc title, where Roan also finished 3rd and Adam 4th in that championship. The team is of course also happy with fifth and sixth places in the final standings of the FIM MX2 World Championship. Add to that the podium places and Henry, Roan and Adam plus the many Holeshot Awards, and the icing on the cake is an MXON podium, then you can only be extremely satisfied. On behalf of the entire crew of F&H Racing Team and their riders, thank you very much for all your support, support and encouragement! A big round of applause for all mechanics, trainers and everyone who has worked 24/7 in the interests of the riders for the full 100%. We look back on a fantastic season and could not have achieved it without all of you. We are already looking forward to a sporting collaboration in 2020, looking forward to many great results!
