Vanluchene/Van den Boogaart also win the 2nd heat and therefore the Grand Prix Sidecars in Gooik!
Vanluchene/Van den Boogaart also won the 2nd heat of the GP in Gooik with a superior result. After their victory in the first heat she also took the Grand Prix win. Bax/Stupelis finished second again and therefore also second in the Grand Prix.
Jake Brown and Joe Millard did themselves a great service by finishing third and, together with their 5th place in the first heat, this meant that the young Englishman Jake Brown could sit on the podium of a GP for the first time in his career. Brown/Millard proudly occupied the last scaffold of the day's podium of the Belgian Grand Prix in Gooik.
The holeshot in the second heat was for Dierckens with Jake Brown in second and surprisingly Justin Keuben in third. However, Vanluchene, who started fifth, quickly put things in order. Within five minutes Vanluchene/Van den Boogaart were in the lead and once again they pulled away from the pursuers. Bax/Stupelis were also quickly in second place, but could do nothing against the killer pace of Vanluchene/Van den Boogaart. The latter also won the second heat and Bax/Stupelis finished second.
Jake Brown rode a hell of a race and managed to convert his good start into third place in the heat, which also meant third place in the Grand Prix. Veldman/Janssens rode well from midfield to fourth place at the finish. Closely behind, Briton Wilkinson took fifth place. After a bad start, Hermans finished sixth at a distance, with Stuart Brown just behind in seventh. Dierckens finished eighth again. Varik came in ninth and the top ten was closed by Compelati/Chopin.
