Roan van de Moosdijk on the Grand Prix podium!
In his second Grand Prix of the season, Roan van de Moosdijk managed to take his first GP podium! The 18-year-old rider managed to cross the finish line in fifth place in the first heat. Later in the afternoon, the Kawasaki rider finished third behind Jorge Prado and Tom Vialle, which is enough for third place in the day's standings! Prado wins both heats and thus wins his fifteenth GP of the season ahead of Jago Geerts (2-5).
After taking the FOX Holeshot, Prado takes distance and the Spaniard wins with a safe lead over teammate Vialle. Geerts started the match well, but during the first half of the match he was looking for the right pace and that caused him to drop back. Van de Moosdijk manages to pass the KEMEA driver and the F&H Racing driver will no longer hand over third place. In the final phase Maxime Renaux comes up, but the Frenchman is unable to pass the Dutchman. This battle is not only for third place in this heat but also in the daily rankings. Renaux falls short and now has to be satisfied with fourth place ahead of Geerts and Calvin Vlaanderen. Raivo Dankers takes his first World Cup point by crossing the finish line in 20th place. Marcel Conijn crosses the finish line in 22nd place and Brent Vandoninck does not take action, leaving him scoreless again this weekend!
