MXGP China: Coldenhoff back on pole!
Glenn Coldenhoff (Standing Construct KTM) rode to pole again, just like last weekend in Turkey. He beat Arminas Jasikonis and Jeremy Seewer. Herlings and Van Horebeek qualified 5th and 7th respectively.
Seewer narrowly had to leave the holeshot to Tim Gajser, but Glenn Coldenhoff also made a good start. However, Gajser made an early mistake and fell to 14th place. Coldenhoff would have taken the lead. Gajser was not in his rhythm at all and fell off a lot a second time.
Calm and controlled, 'the Hoff' retained control of the match. Although there was some pressure from Jasikonis, the Standing Construct KTM leader was never threatened. Herlings was unable to make a breakthrough on the difficult and somewhat unpredictable track. However, both during the timed training - in which he was second - and in the qualifying round, 'the Bullet' showed that he certainly has the speed. With Van Horebeek in seventh, Kevin Strijbos in ninth and Nathan Renkens in 14th, the three Belgians present placed themselves in the top 15.
