Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team misses final MXGP!
The Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team will miss the final round of the FIM MXGP Motocross World Championship after Tommy Searle suffered a shoulder injury last weekend. After his crash during the warm-up on Sunday morning, Tommy Searle was forced to withdraw from the race in Turkey due to a sore shoulder.
The British rider remained optimistic about his chances of competing in China's first ever MXGP in Shanghai this weekend. Unfortunately, Tommy still feels discomfort in his shoulder and won't be able to ride this weekend, even with the bikes already in China.
This season has been a difficult one for the Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team. Both Clément Desalle (in Russia) and Julien Lieber (in Germany) were injured while delivering great results. Tommy Searle joined the team for the latter part of the season and was affected by minor injuries but gave his best for the team. Clément Desalle has received permission from his doctor to get back on his motorcycle. So all team members, including team manager François Lemariey, now have their sights set on 2020. “We all know that this tough sport can be thankless, and this year has been particularly difficult for us. For a few weeks now we have all been focusing on the next season. We know the 450 KX Kawasaki perfectly and we are convinced that 2020 will bring better results for the team and all our partners. Thank you to everyone who continued to support us during this difficult period! ”
