MON: No measure on Amber Simons
During the MON 24MX national motocross in Meijel, Amber Simons was unmatched in the women's class. With a difference of 1.03 minutes and 1.53. minute, the Lakerveld Racing driver won both heats with force majeure. The only lady who managed to stay in the same lap as Simons in both heats was Kaylee van Dam. She finished second in the daily rankings with a third and second place in the heats. Van Dam managed to keep Cynthia Swets behind her based on the second heat. Swets did the best of all the ladies in the battle for the championship and with two games to go she is in the lead with a lead of 97 points over Van Dam. Fourth place in the daily rankings went to Daniëlle van Kempen. She thus kept Jenitty van der Beek behind her, who achieved a nice fifth place on her 85cc machine.
For most of the ladies, a trip to Switzerland is now on the program, where the last competition for the IMBA title will be held on September 22. After this, the ladies will be in action on October 13 and 20 in Oss and Lierop where the last two matches will be held in the battle for the National Championships.
