IMBA: Kay Ebben wins, James Dodd extends lead
Kay Ebben has won the IMBA MX open competition in Meijel. The Dutchman won the first two heats on the Vossenberg circuit and second place in the third heat was more than enough to take the day's victory. Jacky Tausch, another Dutchman, finished in second place. In the heats he took third, second and first place. Glenn Bielen (Bel) finished in third place with a second and twice fourth place in the heats.
Two Dutchmen again finished in fourth and fifth place, Roy Hoeijmakers and Jarno Derks. Championship leader James Dodd (GBR) managed to do well on the tough sand circuit. He strengthened his leading position with seventh place in the daily rankings. Andy Smart (GBR) moved into second place in the standings, 119 points behind Dodd.
