Successful day for Rob van de Veerdonk
Last weekend the KNMV Open Dutch Championship 125cc continued after the summer break. For Rob van de Veerdonk, the race on the Veendam circuit went well, although he was not completely satisfied. The Brabander returns home with a seventh place in the daily rankings. The victory goes to Kjell Verbruggen who won both heats.
In the timed training, the GPR MX Team rider is good for fourth fastest time and he knows how to use that good starting position. The Husqvarna rider takes the best start in the first moto and manages to hold this position for three laps. Some mistakes are then made and driving becomes increasingly difficult. Places are lost, but the rider from Lith still crosses the finish line in fourth place. The start of the second heat is also good, but the student crashes in the first corner! Fortunately, he can continue and from 30th place, Rob returns to eighth place. That gives him seventh place in the daily rankings.
Next weekend the ONK will continue at the famous Lierop circuit!
