F&H Racing Team with two riders in the top six!
In China, the F&H Racing Team concluded the FIM MX2 World Championship well. Adam Sterry has managed to hold on to sixth place and with this the Moordrecht team ends the season with two riders in the top six! Henry Jacobi was already assured of fifth place and Adam finished sixth! Roan van de Moosdijk also came into action during this final. The 18-year-old rider unfortunately did not finish the first round, but during the second round the EMX250 champion finished sixth. The victory went to Jorge Prado, he wins both heats and says goodbye to this class in 2020 after two world titles.
1st Round
Roan gets off to a good start in the first heat and starts the race over 30 minutes and two laps in the top five. In the first full round a place is gained and a duel arises with Jago Geerts and Thomas Kjer Olsen. The riders push each other to the limit under the warm conditions. Adam starts eighth behind Maxime Renaux, the rider with whom he is battling for sixth place in the final championship standings. After ten minutes the Brit makes a mistake, allowing Spaniard Iker Larranaga to gain a spot. Renaux manages to connect with Roan and a battle for sixth place ensues. The Frenchman passes by briefly, but the Eindhoven native comes back. Then bad luck strikes and Roan has to leave the match. As a result, Adam also managed to gain a spot and crossed the finish line in eighth place.
2st Round
The last round of the season does not start very well for the Kawasaki duo who do not start the race well. They both come out of the first corner outside the top ten, but fortunately they manage to recover quickly. Roan comes out of the first round eighth, immediately followed by his 23-year-old teammate. A little later, Roan manages to gain a position by passing Brian Moreau and more than ten minutes later Renaux follows. Roan's sixth place is no longer in danger and the Leatt-clad rider can add 15 points to this championship. Adam follows Renaux like a shadow because the Frenchman is still dangerous in the final score, but the friendly Brit has the race under control and he now crosses the finish line in eighth. This puts him sixth in the final standings and he can look back on a successful season in which he managed to finish the championship without injury!
Next game:
In two weeks the Motocross of Nations will be held at the TT Circuit of Assen. The F&H Racing Team would be in action during this competition with Henry Jacobi. However, the German has been injured so his season is over. Roan has been included in Team Netherlands, but the national coach has chosen Calvin Vlaanderen. Adam has also been selected for Team England this week and will be at the start!
