Belgians win VMXdN in Farleigh Castle!
Our four compatriots were favorites for these Nations for Veterans and they fulfilled that role with flying colors. Sven Breugelmans, Ken de Dycker, Steve Ramon and Filip van Dijck were at the front all weekend and were able to win in four heats. During the last heat, the four had a good start from the starting gate and only had to tolerate Mike Brown from Team USA.
Only brutal bad luck could keep the Belgians from winning, but apart from a few skirmishes in the first corners, it was clear that our compatriots would go for the win. In turn four, Breugelmans briefly crashed into the set and then had to give up. No Belgian was allowed to drop out anymore, but luckily everyone was spared from bad luck. The Belgians win this great VMXdN in the EVO class ahead of the British and the Americans. Congratulations to the team of manager Danny Scheers.
The fastest man of the weekend was without a doubt Mike Brown who won all heats. The German Team MX Classic with Bernd Eckenbach and Laurent Lacasse already won the Nations for Twinshock motorcycles in the afternoon. All details and a lot of images of the sunny 2019 edition of the VMXdN can be found with our colleagues at MXVintage.
