USA: Adam Cianciarulo to 2020 class in 450!
Yesterday the news came from the United States that the Monster Energy Kawasaki team will feature Adam Cianciarulo in the 450 class next year. He will then compete alongside Eli Tomac in the toughest series aboard the Kawasaki KX450 in Supercross and the AMA Outdoors.
“We have a very strong team for 2020,” said Kawasaki Racing Senior Manager, Dan Fahie. “We still have work to do this summer in the hope that both Eli and Adam can place high in the championships of their respective classes. We are excited to continue our goals with Eli and welcome Adam and his legendary Kawasaki racing career to our 450 team. We have learned a lot about our KX450 and are well on our way into 2020 with the development of the motorcycle. “
Tomac and Cianciarulo aim to successfully complete the 2019 AMA Pro Motocross Championship in both the 450MX and 250MX classes. Tomac and his new premier stablemate Cianciarulo will then head to Las Vegas on October 19 to compete in the desert for the coveted 'Monster Million' at the annual Monster Energy Cup. Tomac has set his sights on the big loot and will try to win it for the second year in a row. Meanwhile, Cianciarulo is trying to take the title in the 250 class. Cianciarulo is currently 28 points ahead with six series wins and six overall wins, and he is the only rider to have been on the podium in every moto this season.
“I am super excited and grateful for this opportunity,” Cianciarulo said. “I was just a little kid when I signed with Kawasaki in 2004 and it has been a dream of mine ever since to get to this point. I grew up in the Team Green program, until my 250cc career with Mitch Payton and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki. Now I am prepared to take on this next challenge to compete at the highest level. The work just started and I'm ready for the new KX450. ”
