Update on leg injury Romain Febvre!
Earlier today, French Yamaha pilot Romain Febvre provided an update on his thigh injury via social media channels. Last weekend things went wrong for Febvre. He crashed hard in the second series of the Swedish GP and broke his thigh. It is known in motocross circles that the rehabilitation of such an injury takes several months. Febvre gives an update on his condition.
"I can't write everything about what I've been through these past few days, and it's not over yet. Every injury and surgery is different, they fixed my thigh perfectly, but my leg is very painful because it is very swollen. I lost a lot of blood during the surgery, which makes it more difficult because I can't stand up for more than a few minutes. My blood pressure is not high enough, so I get dizzy easily. Last night I tried to reach the toilet with help, three meters from my bed, after a few minutes I fainted."
"I have to move as much as possible to reduce the swelling, but on the other hand I can't do much because I don't have enough blood (have to wait for my body to make it again). So right now I'm dealing with constant pain. And when the pain subsides a little, I feel dizzy. I wish I felt better and could go back home but I can't yet. But things will get better soon… Thanks for the support."
