Tim Gajser to the Monster Energy Cup
Soon after winning the FIM MXGP World Championship, Honda has announced that Tim Gajser will compete in this year's Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas. This Monster Energy Cup is the competition of the year with $1 million for the winner of all three competitions in one evening! In 1, Ryan Villopoto won this award and Marvin Musquin (2011) and Eli Tomac (2017) managed to match him. In 2018, the now 2017-year-old Gajser also competed at the Sam Boyd Stadium, but he crashed hard during the first race. In the same announcement, Honda confirmed that Gajser will defend the MXGP world title in 22 but that the 'American Dream' is still in play for the Slovenian.
