Keiheuvel LIVE: Double hit Glenn Coldenhoff!
Unlike Jago Geerts in the 250cc, Glenn Coldenhoff lived up to his role as favorite! The Standing Construct KTM rider was the strongest in both heats, always ahead of Keiheuvel habitué Shaun Simpson. Harri 'Iron man' Kullas (5-4) narrowly took the final podium from KTM factory enduro rider Nathan Watson (3-5).
From start to finish 'the Hoff' led the first race but Simpson still kept good contact in the second race. ADAC MX Masters leader Jens Getteman had the prospect of a podium place after an excellent fourth place in the opening series. The KMC Mol club rider unfortunately had to deal with a crash in series 2. Ultimately, Jeffrey Dewulf, ninth after a fall in race 1 and 4th in the restart, became the best Belgian.
For Kevin Strijbos, the Keiheuvel turned out to be a disappointment. The Kid fell to the start in the first moto and retired in the second. VLM champion Jens Van Meer had of course already worked on 'de Kei' earlier this season. The BeTeMo rider was certainly sane amidst the heavy violence. Van Meer reached the top 10 in ninth place! At the Nationals, Donny Schmidt (2-1) won the title, although Dennis Wagemans from Kempen won the first race.
Around 17:35 PM the Super Final with the Flanders Masters title at stake will be held between the best 250 and the best 500cc riders of the day.
