HOT: Jeremy Seewer remains Yamaha factory rider
Jeremy Seewer's name for 2020 was repeatedly mentioned in the same breath as HRC-Honda. However, the fast Swiss remains in 'blue' employment! The current runner-up in the MXGP World Championship was just confirmed in Imola as the third factory rider, alongside Gautier Paulin and Arnaud Tonus for Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP. From 2020, this will be the new team name of Wilvo Yamaha MXGP, which will become the official factory team from next season!
More about that historic announcement from Yamaha you read here.
Seewer's confirmation shows that of Yamaha's super quartet in 2019, only Romain Febvre will leave the brand with the crossed tuning forks. Notably absent from the announced Yamaha riders was Jago Geerts. Unfortunately, the Kemea pilot was unable to attend Imola tonight because his flight was delayed.
