HOT: Ivo Monticelli stays with Standing Construct KTM!
Ivo Monticelli and Standing Construct KTM are pleased to announce a new agreement. The talented Italian will also contest the 2020 FIM MXGP Motocross World Championship on a KTM450SX-F. Monticelli performed remarkably well this year. For example, he achieved a top-5 finish in Trentino, Italy.
After finishing his first full MXGP season in 2018rd place in 23, Monticelli switched to Standing Construct KTM. Although he had to deal with injuries for two rounds, the likeable Italian is still in the running for a top-10 finish in the MXGP World Championship. Monticelli wants to do everything he can to reach that top 10 before he turns his attention to the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in Assen, the Netherlands.
Ivo Monticelli: “I am very happy to continue with Standing Construct KTM. They believed in me, they gave me a chance and because of them I was able to make big steps this season. The team is very professional, they give me the best possible material and they are very competent people. Still, it feels like a family, which is important for me to perform. This winter I will stay in Belgium again, so that I can prepare for the 2020 season in the heart of motocross. Next year I hope to make even further progress together with the team."
Tim Mathys: “When we signed Ivo in 2018, many people had their reservations. I think he showed his potential this year with his 5th place in the Trentino GP and his several top 10 finishes. I am convinced that with good winter preparation and the experiences of this season, Ivo can regularly reach the top 2020 in 5.”
