Henry Jacobi climbs to fourth place in the World Championship
The Italian Grand Prix at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari did not go smoothly for the F&H Racing Team. Yet Henry Jacobi managed to score so well that he rises to fourth place in the FIM MX2 World Championship! The Apolda-born rider finished thirteenth and sixth, meaning he finished eighth during the fifteenth GP of the season. Adam Sterry unfortunately only scored in the first heat, the Brit had an unfortunate crash in the second heat and did not finish. The victory went to Jorge Prado, who further increased his lead in the championship.
1st Round
Qualifying on Saturday afternoon went well for Henry who qualified second for the races on Sunday afternoon. However, the start of the first heat did not go well for the German who starts the race outside the top ten. When a colleague falls in front of the Leatt-dressed crosser, he also has to hit the brakes! The match continues immediately, but then Henry makes a mistake and falls. The entire starting field passes by and Henry has to fight his way forward from the last spot. Adam has to do the same because the Brit also fell and was forced to the backfield. The Kawasaki riders have to fight to get into the points, but both show character. In the Italian heat, Henry returns to thirteenth place while Adam still crosses the finish line in fifteenth.
2st Round
The second heat starts much better for the Moordrecht team as Henry starts fifth and Adam follows in seventh place! In the chicane before the pits, 22-year-old Henry makes a mistake, causing Sydow, Adam and Flanders to pass the new Dutch Masters of Motocross 250cc. There is a hard fight and that of course results in great duels! Henry manages to correct his mistake in the initial phase and comes back to sixth place. Adam's race does not go well because he has an unfortunate fall. The 22-year-old rider comes off the track for a moment, causing him to slide away. Then Adam is hit hard under his helmet by his handlebars! Fortunately, the Kawasaki rider can continue under his own power, but because his vision is a bit blurred, he decides to leave the race. Adam continues to hold sixth place in the championship standings.
