Glenn Coldenhoff makes Wilhelmus sound in Imola!
Glenn Coldenhoff has just won the Italian Grand Prix in Imola, the Standing Construct pilot managed to win both heats. With this, the Dutchman wins his third Grand Prix of his career, the previous one dating back to 1497 days ago in Kegums. In Imola the Dutch Standing Construct KTM pilot left the Factory Yamaha pilot Jeremy Seewer behind the brand new world champion Tim Gajser!
It is already a good result for Glenn Coldenhoff, after a season that was already hampered by a serious injury in the winter. However, the Dutchman fought back hard with a podium in Lommel, a victory at the Keiheuvel and now a victory in the Grand Prix of Imola!
Unfortunately, the other lowlanders could not experience the same pleasure that Glenn Coldenhoff was able to experience. Kevin Strijbos finished twelfth in the Grand Prix results, he achieved that result with an eleventh and twelfth place and with this the man on his Yamaha achieved one of his better results of this season. Jeremy Van Horebeek is one place behind Kevin Strijbos. The MotoBlouz Honda pilot in turn had one of his less good grand prix races and did not get further than thirteenth place in the first series and in the second series he scored an eleventh place, good for thirteenth place overall.
Brian Bogers scored in the first moto in fourteenth place, in the second moto we saw the Honda pilot leave the race and he did not score. With his seven points from the first round, Brian Bogers scored eighteenth place in the Grand Prix result. Micha-Boy de Waal scored four points in the first moto with a seventeenth place, but the Hutten Metaal Yamaha pilot unfortunately did not finish in the second moto. His four points gave Micha-Boy de Waal twenty-first place overall at the Imola Grand Prix.
