Fracture of femur for Romain Febvre!
Things went badly wrong for Romain Febvre (27) in the second series of the Swedish GP. The Yamaha factory rider had a serious fall and broke his left femur. Today Febvre was operated on in Sweden.
The French ex-MXGP world champion was second until three laps from the end. It immediately became clear that it was a serious injury. Confirmation about the nature of the injury soon followed. Although it is still too early to make a precise schedule, everything indicates that the Frenchman will be out of action for about 6 months.
This is a big blow even more for Kawasaki Racing Team, his new team, than for his current team Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP. Due to this new setback, Romain will miss crucial months in his preparation and adaptation to his new bike. Febvre broke his ankle during the opening match of the World Cup in early March. The MXmag editorial team wishes the Vogees a speedy recovery.
