Dutch MX of Nations presented!
The KNMV announced the Dutch Motocross of Nations team in a spectacular manner (arrival in Assen by helicopter!) this morning. To select the best riders for the weekend, the KNMV proposed a quartet: Jeffrey Herlings, Glenn Coldenhoff, Calvin Vlaanderen and seasonal revelation Roan van de Moosdijk.
So in total, not three but four riders were put forward amid widespread media interest.
Naturally, the selection of Glenn Coldenhoff (MX Open) and Jeffrey Herlings (MXGP) was not up for discussion. For the MX2, Calvin Vlaanderen and Roan van de Moosdijk are in balance. Honda factory rider Flanders had an injury in the middle of the season but is now back up to cruising speed. Calvin proved his sand qualities with an impressive second place in Lommel at the beginning of August. Roan van ve Moosdijk leads the EMX250 and can take the title this weekend.
The final decision on the trio that will win at home on September 28 and 29 will be announced just before the Nations!
