WMX Loket: Duncan wins first series!
Kiwi girl Courtney Duncan was the strongest in the first series. She won with two fingers in the nose ahead of Nancy Van De Ven and the Danish Sara Andersen. Duncan had started with mixed feelings after she crashed during the sighting lap. Apart from some dirty clothes, she suffered no damage.
The Italian Elisa Galvagno was the fastest at the start, ahead of Van De Ven and Courtney Duncan. In turn one, five ladies were immediately off, but they were able to continue their way. Duncan was able to advance to first place in the first round. Amandine Verstappen started sixth and was able to finish fourth in the second lap. Brenda Wagemans came in sixteenth. She would eventually finish one place lower.
Duncan kept a tight pace to the finish and won easily ahead of Van De Ven and Andersen. Verstappen crashed in the middle of the series in a corner and was able to resume in P9. She eventually finished eighth. Larissa Papenmeier finished fourth ahead of Shana van der Vlist. Tomorrow morning at 11:25 am the ladies will ride their second series.
