VLM Retie: Van Meer and Delincé divide the loot!
Few VLM competitions appeal to the imagination as much as Retie's classic. For the 10th round of the championship, there were also a lot of fast guys behind the starting gate in the 500cc class. Guest rider Jeremy Delince and Jens Van Meer each won a series!
The atmosphere was already good at the Duinberg on Saturday and the half-liters put the icing on the cake on Sunday! In the time training, Yentel Martens and Delince did not give each other an inch. The difference in favor of “Y-Mart” was a measly 0,016 seconds! This was followed by Van Meer, Cedric Grobben, Steve Seronval and Jilani Cambré.
Lead starter Van Meer got the pack going, but in the end it was Delincé and Martens who gained the upper hand. KMP Honda rider Delincé was the fastest man on the track in the second half of the race and beat Yentel by 2 seconds.
Ebben and Vromans again!
Arendonk Dieter Vromans has emerged as the man to beat in MX2 in recent weeks. However, two-stroke specialist Kay Ebben had not gone to the Duinberg for a health walk!
Ebben dominated the first round after catching up with lead starter John Cuppen. Although Kristof Scheyenen had come back well from the middle of the field, he still had to give up Bram Schoepen. The second heat was a demonstration by Dieter Vromans who was in the lead from start to finish! Ebben now finished second ahead of Smets.
