Van de Veerdonk ends the championship strong!
The last race of the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross went well for Rob van de Veerdonk. The GPR MX Team rider managed to finish sixth and eighth during the race on the Lichtenvoorde circuit. In the final championship standings, the Brabander remains just outside the top ten with eleventh place. His teammate Cameron Durow did not play, he injured his knee last week during the FIM Junior World Championship, which means he is temporarily out of action. The competition at 'Circuit De Schans' was won by Kay de Wolf who also secured the title.

During the training sessions, Rob already felt good on the fast circuit and he managed to set the fastest time in ninth. Thanks to a good starting position, the rider from Lith managed to start the race in fifth place. Rob managed to hold this position for about 10 minutes, after which a mistake was made. As a result, the JT Racing-clad motocross rider lost three places. Fortunately, Rob managed to make up two more places before the checkered flag fell. So Rob crosses the finish line in sixth place and he is of course satisfied with that.
The start of the second heat is less good, meaning Rob starts the race outside the top ten. Three places are immediately made up, resulting in the Laurense Husqvarna rider coming out of the first round in seventh place. After almost 15 minutes, Kjeld Stuurman passes and a little later the Finn Malin also joins. He tries to take over eighth place from Rob and a nice duel ensues. The Finn briefly takes over eighth place, but in the last lap Rob comes back and crosses the finish line in eighth!
