Strijbos tops Belgian podium in ADAC MX Masters!
In the sandy Tensfeld, the 4th round of the ADAC MX Masters, the Belgians spoke highly today. Kevin Strijbos was old-fashioned fast and took the series victory after his pole yesterday! Jens Getteman, who finished second, did an excellent job in the standings. The Pfeil Kawasaki leader now leads the championship by 18 points ahead of Dennis Ullrich.
On the Belgian national holiday, Belgians were no exception in the north of Germany! The first heat became a demonstration for Strijbos who led from start to finish. A regular Jens Getteman finished second, while Dewulf fought his way to third place after starting in the sub-top. Guest rider Yentel Martens was also among the faster riders, but had to come back from too far and had to settle for fifth place ahead of Jéremy Delincé.
The second series certainly could have gone differently. Early leader Getteman was caught up by Dewulf, but he made a mistake and lost a lot of time. Getteman regained control of the lead, but what Strijbos conjured up from the back was great class. In the first lap 'The Kid' was only 14th, but after six laps he had already climbed to P2. Ultimately, Kevin also beat Getteman and quickly raced to victory.
Martens had to give up in the second series. Yentel could no longer avoid a rider who had fallen after a jump. Fortunately, without much problem for the Lommel sand specialist, although his motorcycle was too crooked to continue driving. Tensfeld was a downright black Sunday for championship leader Tanel Leok. Leok only scored in series one with a weak 15th place.
