Great Husqvarna teams for 12 hours La Chinelle!
Husqvarna Belgium has set up two teams for the 40th edition of the 12 hours of La Chinelle. In 2016 and 2017, Husky took victory, last year the men of team manager Wim Vanderheyden took 2nd, 3rd and 4th place. So expectations are high!
Be the first to cross the line on August 11 in the 40th edition of the famous endurance race. That is the goal for both Husqvarna trios. Not more, not less! “Our drivers will certainly have the resources to give the best of themselves. We will be fielding the brand new 2020 Husqvarna FE450. Since this engine is very different from the 2019 model, we are already busy testing and preparing,” Vanderheyden explains.
Wim gives his opinion about the selected Husky riders:
Jilani Cambre: “Always fast and motivated for La Chinelle. Moreover, this is a competition that suits his stylish way of driving. This means he can drive long and regularly without wasting much energy.”
Kevin Fors:“Kevin has been living on a cloud since the birth of his son Austin on July 5. He always has that little bit extra to go the extra mile and turn a bad situation around. In recent years, Kevin has already achieved a good track record in La Chinelle and he would like to add another victory.”
Wietse Brackman: “An established name who can make a difference at the end of the game. Wietse was on the podium in four participations: two wins, one second and third place. That says enough!"
Jérôme Martiny:“A veteran in La Chinelle. Jérôme has set his sights on his first podium. He has already shown that he is fast at night. And I expect that he can continue that trend during the day after he has recorded a strong first half of the season as a cross rider in the AMPL.”
Matthew Vanoevelen: “Our newcomer, who already feels very good on his new bike. With a good team around him, Matthew has everything he needs to show off what he has to offer!”
Erik Willems: “Last year Erik came third. He is very strong both in terms of speed and mentally. In addition, Erik is also a team player who can motivate his mates to give everything for victory.”
