Jacobi sniffs the stage in Semarang
The twelfth Grand Prix of the season went well for Henry Jacobi. The Kawasaki rider finished seventh in both heats at the Semarang circuit but was very close to a podium finish! The 22-year-old rider held second place for a long time in the second heat, but after more than ten minutes the man with the hammer came. Henry managed to cross the finish line in seventh place, putting him fifth in the overall standings. Adam Sterry rides strongly, but due to a poor second round he ends up thirteenth in the GP. The victory went to Jorge Prado, he is also the leader in the standings. In the same standings, Henry consolidates fifth place while Adam climbs to seventh place!
1st Round
Under the warm conditions, the Kawasaki riders entered the first moto with confidence. The starts of both riders were not great, but thanks to a nice first corner, the duo managed to fly over the first jump just outside the top ten! During the first ten minutes, Henry managed to maintain himself in tenth place and later worked his way up to eighth place. Then he will battle with Geerts and Boisrame for sixth place! Things get rough and when Geerts starts an attack on Boisrame he makes a mistake. This also gets Henry into trouble for a while, but luckily he stays on two wheels. The German gives chase to Boisrame, but he cannot be passed and Henry crosses the finish line in seventh place, just behind Boisrame. Adam manages his way into the top ten in a controlled manner and he too can benefit from Geerts' fall. The 22-year-old Briton crosses the finish line in ninth place.
2st Round
Henry got off to a great start in the second moto with a holeshot and won the Holeshot Award! Earlier this year in Portugal, Roan van de Moosdijk managed to do this, now this prize went to Henry. In the first full lap the Kawasaki rider loses second places, but a little later Vialle is able to catch back. Henry then manages to hold second place for more than ten minutes before briefly losing control of the front wheel. Henry therefore loses second place and then he also loses the right pace. As a result, he drops back to seventh place, where he also finishes. Adam comes out of the first corner just outside the top ten, but two corners later a colleague falls in front of him and the rider from Walsh also gets into trouble. Fortunately, Adam can continue the race with a damaged engine and bent handlebars, but he cannot get more than a fifteenth place in this round.
